Cotacachi the best place to retire in Ecuador. Excelent weather, beutiful scenery, 8 foreign retirement communities presently located in cotocachi. Most retirees move around by bicycle and enjoy very cheap organic food.

Isn't retirement a matter of choice and preference? What works for you would not necessarily work for me otherwise we would have loads of people struggling to occupy a certain geographical region.

Apart from the weather and the ability to move around, are there any tourist sites? A retiree will most likely appreciate a loophole to unwinding!

You have a point here cwemoy but then again nobody is really imposing that you should retire to the place their currently at, only suggesting a good option. If you want other tourism website then why don't you browse other forum page here and you'll see that there is a retirement forum for Uruguayans and Costa Ricans or if you don't want that, you can just check it up on Google. Problem solved.
