I'm getting ready for a whirlwind tour of South America. Where are the places in Quito that Americans hang out?

Head down to the section of town called Mariscal Sucre. The term for the area is gringo-land. If you ask a taxi to take you to the Hotel Chalet Suisse, this will be right in this district. There are lots of clubs, good restaurants, and travel agencies. This are is really hopping.
No doubt, you will find many American and European travelers.

living in Quito as an American, we must always try to discover what there is to be done.
