| Preservando la Memoria del Ecuador This project aims to strengthen the collective memory of Ecuadorian society of key moments in its social struggle through the digitisation of documents of various types that detail the main events in recent Ecuadorian history. The aim is to stimulate broad discussion about important social processes and to educate the younger generations about historical events over the past 25 years in a non-formal manner through the production of multimedia content. Production of the various materials occurs in close collaboration with those who witnessed the events in order to write history alongside the official version. At the same time, a platform for communication and information is being set up by strengthening the Radio la Luna web site. An on-line radio service is being set up for those listeners outside Quito under bad broadcasting conditions. The project will strengthen ties with independent broadcasting organisations and other information networks throughout Latin America in order to exchange content and lessons learned about conserving and strengthening collective memory but also about the use of icts to achieve this. | Preserving the history of a country by means of documentation is very important. Using the latest technology in digital multimedia will make it more presentable and easier to access. I've seen blogs used to document a particular location's history. Socially, it allows the present and future generation to connect and appreciate its community history. |
| That is so true. And it is nice to know that there are these kinds of technology that are being used to preserve some of the most important documents in relation to history. I wonder how the technology would be and how sophisticated documentation would be in the future. I am sure that what we have now could never compare to what we are to have in the future. Good day. |

| An online radio service is invaluable especially to people working outside their own country. It allows them to listen to their favorite local radio station and find out what's happening back at home. At least now, the people from Ecuador can preserve their history and cultural heritage through these discussions. This is clearly one of the advantages of technology that media and educators should make use of to get their message across the globe. |
| Everything is really possible nowadays. With the advent of the most useful technology, I think that life is getting better for all of us. And I think, it is a great idea to make use of these technological advancements in order to preserve the history of a certain place especially of Ecuador. Good move for those who initiated this. Truly commendable. This video is really so informative. Thank you so much. |
