Business Language in Ecuador

What langage do the people of Ecuador use to communicate in their business dealings? Is English one of them?

Basically, the predominant languages in Ecuador are Quichua and Spanish. Are you a foreigner who is going there for a business? Basically if you are a foreigner, most Ecuadorians are also equipped of English skills. So I think it won't be hard for them to deal with the foreigners.

As far as I know, many people in Ecuador are already good at speaking English language. So you can explore there and make friends a lot.

Thank author of this post/comment"Language"

I have been in Ecuador for about a year and a half. I live in a small community just North of Ibarra and have spent some time in Quito which is 2 hours to the South. I have been working, although irregularly, on Spanish since I arrived and for some time before. I have met very few people who speak English in dealings with various lawyers about various issues, only one of whom spoke any English. I have retained several translators for any professional dealings and with technical issues in the building of my home. Costs for translators and their quality vary significantly so you need to exercise common sense in retaining this kind of help which I have found essential.
